www.NinaInChianti.comist- as you probably know - is not just an online wine store for Chianti Classico and other products from the region: on this website you will find lots of information about every winery, every wine and the places around Panzano in Chianti. And of course many, many photos that show how incredibly beautiful it is here! Photos that document the work of the winegrowers, their peculiarities and their character. This is exactly why I spent three busy days in May with photographer Eva-Maria Mrazek (Eva trifft.) and copywriter Tanja Petritsch in and around Panzano.

We spent the first day of the "Giro da Nina" photographing and researching in the "capital of Chianti Classico", Greve, tranquil Radda and, of course, in "my" Panzano in Chianti. We even took advantage of a rainy lunch stop in the vineyards of the Fattoria di Rignana to take a few Nina photos. After the short, midday rain interlude, the sun ventured out from between the clouds again - and it was promptly utilized to the last ray: The last photos of the day were taken in the light of the sensational sunset at the oversized Gallo Nero - the official symbol of Chianti Classico - which has recently been enthroned above the Gallo Nero in Panzano. Two new wineries - soon on www.NinaInChianti.com!
As I am always on the lookout for exciting wines and wineries from the region, there will soon be two new wineries in my store: On the one hand, the innovative and organic winery Poggerino in Radda in Chianti, which is owned by the likeable Piero Lanz. One special wine that will be available alongside three other wines from Poggerino at www.NinaInChianti.com is the Chianti Classico "(N)Uovo". As the name suggests, this wine novelty matures in an "uovo" - in an egg - in a cement egg. The result: sensational! And the photos of Piero, his employee John and the vineyards and cellars - just like an egg! The second winery that will soon be represented with its wines on www.NinaInChianti.com is the Tenuta Degli Dei- a winery owned by the Cavalli family - yes, the famous Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. We had the pleasure and honor of taking a tour of the vineyards and wine cellars with Tommaso Cavalli, the son. There are also wonderful photos of this visit! Only the trotting horses, which Tommaso Cavalli breeds with great success on the estate, didn't quite want to do what photographer Eva-Maria Mrazek wanted. Perhaps it was simply too hot for the noble four-legged friends to gallop majestically across the paddocks between the vineyards on this sultry afternoon...
